Chappaquiddick Vacation Rentals - Martha's Vineyard

Chappaquiddick is a remote section barely connected to the eastern side of Martha's Vineyard by a barrier beach and a bridge. It is officially part of the town of Edgartown. In 1969, a car accident involving U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy made this tiny village notorious. Today much of the area is preserved and available to the public by conservation groups like the Martha's Vineyard Land Bank and the Trustees of Reservations. Those areas are popular with sunbathers, birders and fishermen. The Trustees also maintain and offer public access to Mytoi, a serene and unusual garden that incorporates the best of Japanese horticulture with Chappaquidick's natural beauty.
