Escape to the beauty of Cape San Blas, Florida & Barrier Dunes. Cape San Blas is in the NW Florida Panhandle, 50 miles SE of Panama City between Port St. Joe & Apalachicola, just East of Mexico Beach & West of St. George Island! Quiet, Pet Friendly Beach voted #1 in the USA & #1 DOG FRIENDLY BEACH in AMERICA in 2007--yet it's still pristine and uncrowded!

Barrier Dunes is a secure, gated community with 2 fantastic pools. One is located directly on the dunes with a beautiful view of the ocean and white sand beaches of Cape San Blas, Florida (ranked the #1 beach in the USA by Dr. Stephen Leatherman in 2002) and the 2nd is HEATED. Barrier Dunes also has lighted tennis courts, 3 fresh water fishing ponds and is VERY family friendly & pet friendly (no time restrictions on when a dog can be on the beach!)

T.H. Stone St. Joseph State Park is located right next door, & offers excellent access to the bay as well as 7 miles of undeveloped pristine wilderness area & beach. Nature lovers will enjoy rare views of sea birds & other natural wildlife. We took a boat out in the bay and saw dolphin dancing around the boat, schools of stingray, starfish, sea urchins, sand dollars, fish & crab! The clear water bay is one of the cleanest in Florida & provides excellent snorkeling, boating, fishing, crabbing & scalloping.


THE CAPE ESCAPE I: 2BR/2BA. 150 steps to the uncrowded, white sand beach! Oversized King master suite with dedicated balcony, dressing area with double sinks, walk-in closet, bathroom with separate shower & a garden along with a full laundry room (complete with laundry detergent) on the upper floor. The lower floor has a fully-equipped kitchen overlooking the dining area & family room, a Queen bedroom, & a full bathroom. The family room includes a cable TV, VCR, books, puzzle and games & a Sleeper Sofa. NOW WITH WIRELESS DSL INTERNET!

THE CAPE ESCAPE II 2BR/2.5BA. Fish or feed the turtles FROM the back porch with the beach 200 steps out the front door--best of both worlds! NOW WITH WIRELESS DSL INTERNET!

Although Cape San Blas is quite and peaceful, without the dense high rise condo's of Destin or Panama City, it does not mean that you can't find "the basics" on the Cape. There are 2 outlets on the Cape for groceries and other "beach basics". There are also full size grocery stores in Port St. Joe (20 min) and Apalachicola (25 min).
